Everyday Authenticity

Imagine being your authentic self every day.

But I’m here to tell you that’s all a bunch of bull%3@t!

But to become authentic, you probably feel like you must partake in an unrealistic, fancy (likely expensive) stereotype or at the very least, disregard all that you once knew.

Learning how to be your authentic self doesn’t have to be all that…

People get so hung up in the notion of labels, details, and what others may think. I’m guilty of this. I grew up thinking I needed to act a certain way or do a certain job to be deemed as successful.

That’s why Sarah Jeanne Browne and I co-authored the Everyday Authenticity workbook.

This workbook is a culmination of our work together at Forbes Women: WomensMedia Section where we are both self-help writers.

We came together to talk about our personal philosophy of authenticity. And what we came to agree upon is that everyday authenticity is about living mindfully while being who you actually are. We believe that there’s nothing you can’t do if you stay true to yourself.

That's our definition of success.

But what’s even more important is authenticity looks different to everybody and varies at different stages of your life. Which is why Everyday Authenticity isn’t meant to tell you what to do, but instead, help you discover what’s most important for YOU!

So, if you're:

Tired of living in the “shadows”

Over not speaking up for yourself

Worn-out listening to unrealistic advice

Feeling lost or ashamed for your emotions

I'm here to remind you it doesn't have to be that way.

And the answer is likely already inside of you.

Spoiler alert—we can’t guarantee happiness just by reading our workbook…

Because life is messy, varied, and full of setbacks.

Now, go get to work!
